After years spent designing textiles and products for major brands, designer Emily Holden wanted something different. Something more personal, more intentional, and more sustainable. Less about following trends or chasing scale — more about making things with presence, things that last.

Maude&Arte is the result: a home goods shop built on curiosity and experimentation. A place where ideas can evolve and materials can be rediscovered. Here, no two weeks look the same. We work with what we find, what we make, and what feels right.

We believe the things we live with should mean more — that they should have texture, character, colour, and a story to tell. From one-off reworked pieces to made-to-order designs, everything here begins with care and ends with something you won’t find anywhere else.

When Maude Meets Arte

Our name brings together two sides of what we love most: the beauty of things made well, and the thrill of making them our own. Maude nods to heritage—sturdy, timeworn, and quietly elegant. Arte is where imagination steps in. A little looser. A little louder. It’s the art of breaking form just enough to make something new.
